This year, it seems as if the WWE Universe may get another surprise return. Or, it could be that he is just adding a little satire to his day.

Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett recently posted a picture on Instagram about his abs, stating they they will be back to normal come time for the Royal Rumble.

After having a meteoric rise to the main event following his debut as the leader of The Nexus in 2010, feuding with top names such as John Cena and Randy Orton, as well as attacking names such as The Undertaker, Vince McMahon, and Ricky Steamboat, Barrett would have a series of start-stop pushes, which significantly hurt his career.

Although he would have five reigns as Intercontinental Champion, the inconsistency of his career lead to a sour relationship with the WWE towards the latter part of his tenure with the company.

Being successful with his Bad News Barrett character, he would be transitioned into a member of the League of Nations, with Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio, and Rusev. However, Barrett would eventually be attacked and kicked out of the group, which would end his time in the WWE.
